Here’s yet another recipe just in time for Thanksgiving, I’m on a roll today! 🙂
Who doesn’t love homemade mac and cheese??? We sure do in our house but very seldom do we make it. Now I have discovered a very easy recipe that could change. I won’t bore you with too many words here, just think creamy, cheesy, buttery topping. And delicious, yummy, to die for … all those things. Yep, that pretty much sums it up.
Easy Homemade Mac and Cheese

Ingredients
- ¼ cup butter or margarine, divided
- ¼ cup flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 lb. (16 oz.) VELVEETA, cut into ½-inch cubes
- 8-10 oz (2+ cups) elbow macaroni, cooked
- ¾ sleeve Townhouse crackers, crushed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Melt 3 Tbsp. butter in medium saucepan on medium heat. Whisk in flour; cook 2 min., stirring constantly. Gradually stir in milk. Bring to boil; cook and stir 3 to 5 min. or until thickened. Add VELVEETA; cook 3 min. or until melted, stirring frequently. Stir in macaroni.
- Spoon into 2-qt. casserole sprayed with cooking spray. Melt remaining butter; toss with cracker crumbs. Sprinkle over casserole.
- Bake 20 min. or until heated through and crackers are golden brown.
