Homemade Peach Ice Cream

- 4 peaches, pitted, halved horizontally, then thinly sliced
- Juice of one lemon
- 1½ cups of granulated sugar, divided
- 1½ cups of whole milk
- 2¾ cups heavy cream
- 1½ tsp pure vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- In a small bowl, combine the peaches, lemon juice, and ½ cup sugar. Stir gently to coat, allow peaches to macerate in their own juices for 2 hours.
- Strain peaches, reserving juice. Mash or puree half the peaches and reserve.
- In a medium mixing bowl, using a hand mixer on low speed, combine milk and remaining sugar until the sugar is dissolved.
- Stir in the heavy cream, reserved peach juice, mashed or pureed peaches, vanilla, and cinnamon. Mix well to incorporate.
- Put in fridge for at least 8 hours for flavors to marry.
- Follow ice cream maker instructions to finished product.
